As part of our European Day of Languages year 3 were given the French speaking country of Belgium to explore. We started with a fact finding game where we learnt about all about the country including that the dreaded Brussel sprout is named after the capital city of Belgium! We then tasted the foods that Belgium is famous for and learnt to ask for the items in French. Luckily for us there were no Brussel sprouts only biscuits, waffles and fruit and Belgium chocolate. What a fantastic French experience.
